No tricks, no gimmicks. We paid $99 to autocross this Lamborghini Gallardo, and we're not special at all. Literally anyone can do it. Cross this shit off your bucket list then go brag about to your coworkers.

Worth it? And do they have any manuals, or is that more liability?

When was the last time you got to floor a Lamborghini? (: Totally worth it.

Good point. Groupon is great. I got a flight lesson for $80. I had an instructor who was really chill and basically let me do everything besides land and I was in the air for almost an hour. Flew over the Naval Academy at 1500ft

*On the East Coast Great arm crossing...constantly... YES! I want to do this...but in an Exige S. My friend pointed this out to me a while ago. Being a pessimist; I shot the idea down for several reasons. One of which is; I assume is that unless you have full coverage (which I don't right now), you would be paying extra for insurance on the car. Plus I'd just rather track my own car. I need this.
I paid a bit over $100 for a Living Social for something similar. A "Lifestyle Experience" organization rented a bunch of Gallardo's and some 430's from an exotic car club locally. It was overwhelmingly not worth it.
Shit. I was already to say "Meh. Fuck Groupon." Then it had to be Connecticut, where I live. For about the same price, you are also allowed to rent a car at the Porsche museum in Stuttgart. Only catch is that all the cars are PDK, and you are allowed to do everything up to a 911 Turbo. When I was there I took the Cayman S- literally, there's no catch (well, there's the damage deposit, plus you get 100 free km and they expect that you bring back the car fully fueled), they just explain the basic functions and you go wherever you want for the hour. While it may not involve an autoX circuit or being able to floor a Lamborghini, hitting speeds of 240 km/h+ on the autobahn presents its own kind of rush. Same if you hit the nearby mountain roads. BMW also has a similar program in Munich. I just did this for $129 dollars and had a blast. I can no say I hooned a lambo! it was in Minneapolis which is a track (small track, but none less) not a parking lot. I was wide open 3 times on the track (second gear). I locked up the brakes and got to feel a lambo transferring weight and wiggling getting into corners. What a feeling that is to push a car like this hard enough to feel it getting upset on corner entrances and exits is amazing. I should get the video of the drive later this week Nope, no manuals. Even the flappy paddles are disabled. You're not allowed to break their lambos. Call me shallow but really all I'd like to do with a Lambo is to go stupidly fast and I doubt they'd let that happen on an auto-x track made in a parking lot. where is the link to this? I'm in ct too Fuu this deal ended. Probably cause it made it to the front page I wonder how strict they are on the driving, can you get away with a dab of oppo? I was an instructor for a similar event, these things aren't for learning to drive fast but rather so you can say that you've driven an exotic. I got paid $150 per day, drove every car they had, but worked over 10hrs both days. Would I pay to be a customer, probably not, but I have signed up to instruct both of the last two years and will sign up for at least one day next year even though they yell at us if it looks like we are driving at more than 7/10. The people who got the best deals either had groupons, or used the discount code from one of the instructors (anyone interested for next year in dfw should get with me for the code before hand). $150 with the code got you a set of laps driving then another set riding, which is about worth it. The absolute best deal is to just show up to a local autocross and ride for free or pay the $30-$40 to drive (90% of the drivers will go faster than anyone without autocross experience would in a Lamborghini anyway). $99 around here for "just lunch" and they let you taxi, take off, land, and taxi back ;) Well, that video was like watching paint dry. I had pretty much the same exact experience. I did three 'laps' in a Ferrari 599 and it was a complete joke. First of all, all of the nanny-driver aids are turned on (TCS, ABS, auto-shifting, stability control, etc) and you aren't allowed to disable them. I couldn't even enable the paddle shifters. In other words, I wasn't really driving the car. Secondly, the ass-hat in the passenger seat NEVER SHUT HIS TRAP!!! The entire time around the course he was giving all these instructions to "turn left, brake, accelerate, brake, turn right", etc. I wanted to tell him to shut up because I could see the cones just fine. It ended up being a total waste of time and money. I have way more fun doing hot laps in my friend's 125cc shifter kart. Very strict, and no. They only use cars with all of the electronic drive aids and you aren't allowed to turn them off. If you really want drive the car, forget about it. Was he chill with the aircraft maintenance as well? ive always wanted to take flying lessons, sounds like its worth it?! any prerequisites needed? Contact information please! I am in MN and want to do this as well. Just out of interest what qualifications do you need to have to be an instructor? Totally bitchin'. Now...anywhere on the West Coast, preferably NorCal or the Bay, where I could do the same thing? This is a much better gift for the boss than another bottle of Lagavulin, and you know, I could tag along for this one whereas he's stingy with his Scotch... I went to the Thompsen speedway one. Drove the Ferrari F430. Super disappointing. They only good thing is that you can say you drove a fancy car. The track is super tiny (we did 5 laps, was done in under 2 minutes. Including the 20 second drive out to the track, and the 15 seconds back.) and they don't let you change gears. They force it in 2nd and you're not allowed to change it. That means that by the time the engine actually revs up, you're braking. I don't think we hit 40mph. It's more fun to drive a beater civic at full steam around an autoX course than to do this sort of bullshit with all the nannies on lol The group I instructed with put out a request to local clubs and I responded, I was one of the least experienced instructors with 5 years of autocross and multiple regional class championships. I instruct with most of the local clubs and had a couple of club presidents vouch for me. Most of the instructors were former or current national champions and only one guy had less than 5 years experience and 3 years as a local instructor (we had a mix of autocross and road course experts). I did this in a F430. It was fantastic, and I would highly recommend anyone slightly interested to do it. (Doesn't even matter what company). http://www.groupon.com/deals/circuit-… Despite being presented by Mohegan Sun, the track is in the northeast corner of the state, near the MA border. I don't see how that is profitable if they're paying staff, insurance, maintenance, and of course for the bull itself. That's a different one. The link I posted in a reply to you is still going. I went with a buddy to something similar at Summit Point. I don't remember the name of the group organizing it, but it was very, very limiting. I think it was $100 per lap, couldn't go past 60 on the straightaways, and very tame overall. It really is just to say you drove a Ferrari or Lamborghini and that's it. We had a lot more fun at the go-kart track next door. thanks! I'm seriously considering this. Would love to drive that ferrari, works out well cause I'm about 20 mins south if Springfield mass, so anything in the north is closer to me than Mohegan I also got to do this in MN as well. It was this past weekend at the Dakota County Tech College police training facility so there was a small track instead of just a parking lot. It was $99 for 3 laps. Even though cars had the auto F1 transmissions (would you trust the general public without any advanced training to come drive your $150,000 car with a manual) and the instructors shifted for you and the car never got out of 3rd gear it was still a blast. Most people rarely get to see these cars in real life much less get to drive them. I hooned an '08 Ferrari F430. A few tidbits: You can buy extra time. It was $100 for 3 extra laps I gave 1 of my 3 laps up for my son to ride with the instructor which was another $50 If you want a copy of the video from inside the car it's $3o you're supposed to tip the instructor between $100-$150 Plus you can buy all the insurance waivers if you damage anything So they have ways of making more money off you Things that would have been cool to add in a simple sentence would be how many laps, how fast they let you go and what exactly was covered in the 10 pages of shit you had to sign for starters. Posting a link too could have been helpful. I just moved out of Hartford, to Cheshire. Tip the instructor $100 to $150 to drive around with you for 3 laps, I hope you told them to fuck off. I'd ask him where the hell he got his medical degree that he thinks he is worth that kind of money. I really hope you did not pay that. Did it. Was awesome. Over way too quick. Lambo payment is probably $2500/month and you are making $100 every 5 mins not including the extras they tack on that other people on here say they do and you don't think they are making a profit? Let's say they gross a $1,000 an hour before all the expenses and do this for 8 hours a day, I think they will be doing just fine. If you did this everyday and netted $2,000 a day you would make a cool $60,000 a month per car, not too shabby. The people who have done this all seem to day the track is short and the cars are driven at low speeds with all the nannies on so wear and tear is probably minimal. No way in hell lol. I did see people that did though http://www.motorsportlab.com/#!forms/c219q Great deal considering a typical SCCA autocross can run $60 plus wear and tear on YOUR car. I did the Gotham Dream Car Sprint a few weeks ago thanks to Groupon, I may have to take the ferry over and do this too! My wife almost bought this for me recently, but thankfully she asked first. It was sort of pitched as one of those "drive a supercar super fast!" deals, but $99 seemed too good to be true. I read the fine print and I know the parking lot they planned to use. There's no way you'd break 60mph anywhere. Better to save your pennies for Barber, Bobdurant, Porsche, etc
Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail

That sounds like crap, one of the small tracks here is touristy as well, the straights barely long enough to even hit 60. this. a friend of mine had the same experience Its the same thing If you can get to Las Vegas or Los Angeles, Exotics Racing's prices may be higher (or not, depending on the add-ons other posters describe as to insurance, etc.), it's $299 for five laps of their 1.2 mile course in Vegas in a Gallardo, or $399 for a 458 Italia. But there (Vegas), they encourage you to go fast and there's an 1800 foot straight into a banked corner, so I dared to look down and was doing well over 100 mph, like 115 or so. And there are 7 corners, you can really feel how the car handles (the Italia easily outclassed the Lambo, IMO). The cars are all paddle shifted, but you can shift them. I accidentally downshifted once when I meant to upshift when the red mist had descended, and the instructor told me to stop trying to beat the track record (which of course led me wonder what the record was, but I didn't ask). I've seen these sort of coupon, autocross in a parking lot deals, and figured it would be extremely frustrating for the reasons others have stated. At ER, I was really satisfied and really did feel like I'd driven a Lambo, Ferrari and Aston (Vantage S) in a way that I would be willing to bet few owners of these cars ever do. And without risking my license or someone else's life. Well, the instructor may have had some minor risk, but you're on a track with helmets and would have to be a complete spaz to go off track. I have no stake in this company, but any Jalop would be well served to do this. http://www.groupon.com/deals/g1tour-c… If you're in Canada this is a great opportunity. 70 bucks for a lap of the Canadian Grand Prix track Gilles Villeneuve (Which is on a man made island in the middle of Montreal). How much more badass can it get? Also the selection of cars is a whole lot better! ...where are you that you're plagued with that expensive of an autocross? I thought we were expensive here at CCR because we're charged so much to use ZMax. I've run with 8+ SCCA regions and normal is more like 25-40 bucks, often including lunch. Yeah, I did a similar experience via a Groupon deal. Don't get me wrong, I was glad to have done it, but it was tainted by the fact that I had to stay in second gear, it seemed too short (3 laps, maybe around a minute each), and I didn't get the exterior/onboard video that was advertised. On the bright side, I drove the Ferrari 599. So I at least get to say I drove a car with a Ferrari V12, right? It was fun, but looking back, I'd say the only real way to experience these cars is to do it via the more expensive experiences that cost thousands but put you on a road course. You get what you pay for! Adding to his answer to you, it's often who you know as well. I'm 23 and have about 2.5 years of autocross experience (60-70 events) and 1 year with road-racing (15 events or so, 7 different tracks) and I've been an instructor for this kind of thing twice. ahh I'm in Ellington. Right next to Manchester. I work in Cheshire right near the movie theater Only thing better is getting PAID to autocross these cars. One of these companies reached out to the SCCA forums for our area and hired a bunch of us racers to be the instructor for their on the road event. People showing up could pay $100 to be driven through the course in anger by an instructor, or pay $150 to drive it themselves. I think I made $160 for the day and drove various ferraris and lambo's 7-8 times (mostly because the other instructors were getting motion sickness by the days end). Some of the other instructors were much more ninja about switching the cars into race mode etc... since the ferraris in particular don't let you have any fun with the traction control in place. That's the thing, are there any of these where one actually gets to drive the car? I've been tempted by a couple-three such drive an exotic or four things only to read into the fine print and realized I could have more fun with my own cars on the street obeying the vehicle code to the letter. Oh gee a slow putzing around the track.... how exciting... not. Yes I realize the cars are fast and expensive and the general public shouldn't be driving them, but they are selling an experience, so make it one worth the time and money. $99 to fling one around on an autocross layout at low speed is still rather meh. So you have to tip the guy who takes the joy out of the experience at a rate of 150% of cost? Maybe if that was to make him look the other way and let you actually drive the car so it was fun I could understand. I think we just discovered the business model to get a loan to buy super cars and then write the entire thing off as a business expense. Once fully depreciated sell the cars to yourself. I was going to do one of these with a company called Motorsports Lab - and backed out because to me it seemed like a huge scam. Same deal as this one - Groupon deal for $90. After purchasing the groupon I checked out their waiver. First off, you'll need a credit card with at least $7500 credit available - for incidentals. They highly recommend you tip your instructor 18-25% of the full price of the deal. Normal price was 500 dollars, so you're looking at a 100 tip. Ok fine I can deal with that. Now for the fun stuff. If you damage the vehicle, you are charged $9000 dollars per day the vehicle is out of service. If you scuff a wheel, get a ding, heck if you damage a cone - you will pay. If you go over 6500 rpms - thats $1000 extra! But wait! If you purchase one of 10 waivers for 20 bucks a piece you won't have to worry about any of these fees. So that 90 dollar purchase turns becomes a 500 dollar purchase. None of the above details were listed on the groupon offer at all. I ended up backing out, and am now trying to get a refund back from Groupon. I have no idea if this company is anything like Motorsports Lab, but if they are.....well you can make your own decision. that sucks, though my finger might slip and knock the tc button (completely by accident of course) It really is the way to go. You can drive them whenever you want like the weekends and during the week use them to make money and pay for themselves many times over. Everyone wants to drive a super car sometime in their lives and most people can come up with a $100 or so, so it is a win win. Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. They base it on "retail value" which is $550 Well... by definition that IS autocross. Except BMW's cost more as the cars get faster The last time I went to autocross a Lambo for $99, I came away with some nice pictures, but ultimately, I was disappointed in the experience. The Gallardo I was in had flappy paddles to shift, but you were limited to 2nd gear ONLY for the entire track. You couldn't change gears, or you would be kicked out of the event. This means that you also couldn't experience the full power of the car, and to be quite honest, I had more fun autocrossing my WRX. The reason they didn't let you? People get in these cars and over drive them, and we almost had someone else that day wipe out in a Ferrari California if I recall correctly. He came into a corner way to fast and put on a ballet show. If you want to spend your money doing something cool like this, spend a few more dollars and go to an actual track. Another Groupon deal similar to this allowed me to drive 3 laps in a R8 on an actual track near me for $150 (other cars were available too). I enjoyed it way more than an autocross because a car like that needs to be on a race track in order for you to get the full car experience. I was easily doing over 110 on the back straight, and they gave you the option to actually use the paddle shifters if you felt up to it. It made a great father's day gift too! A parking lot is no place for a super car. Wut!?!? Like first time instruction? I've played flight sims, I'm ready. NNJR is like $50 something. What about braking their lambos? Is that cool? Please give me links so I can make this happen Yeah. Go look up the local flight schools. They typically have 'discovery flights' or first-flights. 30 minutes or so on the ground, 30 minutes or so in the air.
I found the deal on living social. the company your looking for is

i would take flying lessons with James May
My wife bought me the Ultimate Driving Experience package in a 458 Italia for father's day a couple of years ago. It was awesome. They had a 458, a couple of Gallardos, a 911, and an R8. You get so spend all day with the cars and hear them take off full-throttle. I got 7 laps in the 458 in the infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway - they set up a short twisty track...
Yes, but I think you would die before you left the ground. Do I get to do an aileron roll? loop-de-loop? Philly SCCA. Most events are like $40, some $35, and some $60. Lunch is never included (though that sounds awesome!). Quite unfortunate! I got spoiled by being in South Bend Region. We were right by Tire Rack's HQ and they didn't charge most groups to use their testing track so costs were low. It was 15 minutes down the road from me so I ran with SCCA, PCA, Audi Club, BMW CCA, Corvette Club, Miata Club and more there. $25 - $35 bucks, and I would often get well over 10 runs per event. One BMW event was #25 bucks, AYCE subway lunch, and I got 12 scored runs and about 30 fun runs. That's awesome! At one PCA event I had 7 runs, and that was considered an insane amount. What time did you eventually get out of there after so many runs? And there goes your tires for the season at one event... 4 pm for the BMW one, usually between 3 and 5 though. And actually not, I used Hankook RS3's but had a separate set of wheels for them so i swapped out at the track. Used them for about 60 AutoX and PDX events, just sold them with a bit of life left to a friend for cheap last week. I love those tires. I've done this before, and it sucked. Traction control and all other aids were left on, the course was so tight that you had no real choice for lines aside go slow and try to not hit the cones at 5 mph. There were also larger cones marking the "braking zone," which was enforced despite being triple the length needed for the speeds you could carry to that point. All in all, I would rather autocross a minivan than waste the money doing an event like this again. Now, for more money I did the "Exotic Driving Experience" at Texas Motor Speedway's infield, and that was AWESOME. ~$300 for 10 laps in a Porsche 911 was awesome, and there was a racing driver right seat to keep you in control and in your comfort zone. Damn, that's some durability! A friend of mine just sold his Direzza ZII's from his Miata because he's switching to RS3's because Hankook pays contingency at national events. 1st place prize is $400, so you can almost have your tires paid for if you're good enough. Do they not just give free tires as the prize like Hoosier does? Nope. Not sure why, but $400 is nice.
Or a lap of the 4.4km Gilles Villeneuve track in Montreal for 70 bucks in a Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari F430, Ferrari 360 Modena, or a Nissan GT-R.

While the $100+ got your foot in the door with 3 laps around an "autocross" course, they quickly made every effort to nickel and dime you. "Want to drive? You need insurance, that's extra. Here are 5 levels of insurance to purchase ranging from $50 to $150."
"Would you like a picture? That's $25 extra."
"Extra laps? $15 / lap."
The time in the car itself amounted to about 5 minutes. You're sat in the car with a local autocross "expert." Who knows nothing about the car. You're not allowed to take it out of automatic or play with the traction control. The autocross course itself was two straightaways, a chicane, and two u-turns. You'd drive three straight laps, without the usual time between runs to collect yourself, analyze the run, and appreciate the experience.
It was basically a huge scam, designed to efficiently shuffle people through the cars as quickly as humanly possible with high-pressure sale's people trying to convince you to buy useless knick-knacks.
Not saying this is the same thing, but I'm saying be careful and do your research on what your buying.
